The assistant superintendent for instructional accountability (chief information officer) shall collect, organize, analyze and distribute information obtained from various databases in the school district.
The assistant superintendent for instructional accountability (chief information officer) shall report directly to the superintendent of schools.
The responsibilities of the assistant superintendent for instructional accountability shall include:
- Communicating information about the progress of the Duval County Public School District in terms of student performance, management, facilities and general administration to the public in a clear and concise manner.
- Collecting, organizing and analyzing a variety of achievement data.
- Collecting, organizing and analyzing a variety of attendance data.
- Collecting, organizing and analyzing school district results data.
- Compiling data on a school-by-school basis.
- Approving and conducting all in-district research.
- Distributing results of appropriate educational studies and research.
- Establishing school effectiveness levels and validating school results and school improvement reports.
- Preparing appropriate reports for principals, for the Superintendent of Schools and for the School Board.
- Assisting school principals to utilize school data for school improvement efforts.
- Any other duties assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
