Richard A. Boyd, Ph.D.
--is the former chairman of the National Assessment of Educational Progress, former executive
committee member of the Council of Chief State School Officers, American Association of School
Administrators and Education Commission of the States. He currently serves as Director of
Education Programs at the Barksdale Reading Institute in Oxford, MS, where he is a Professor
at The University of Mississippi. He is past-president of the Buckeye Association of School
Administrators and served as State Superintendent of Education for the state of Mississippi.
He was Superintendent of Schools in Lakewood (OH) and Warren (OH) and was then appointed
Deputy State Superintendent of Schools in Cleveland (OH). He is former Executive Director
of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation and holds a doctorate in educational administration
from the University of Akron.

Suzanne Burkholder, PH.D.
--Senior Executive Consultant at SchoolMatch, is a Past President of the American Association
of School Personnel Administrators, Past President of The Ohio State University chapter of Phi
Delta Kappa and the Columbus Mortar Board Alumni. She is a former administrator in the

Cherry Creek (CO) Public Schools. He also has served on the board of the Kent-Denver School,
a private college preparatory school. He served as Professor in Educational Administration
at the University of Colorado at Denver. The past-president of the Denver (CO) Rotary Club
holds his Ph.D. in testing and guidance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
