Since retirement as a school administrator, I have been associated with various organizations including SchoolMatch, The Abreon Group, SARCOM, Inc, Askler-Fitch and Associates, Nationwide Insurance Group, EuroMaTech and TRIAD Architects, Inc. Engagements in areas of leadership, management, project management and communications include training/coaching, program curriculum development, consulting services, human resource development and team effectiveness in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
As a school effectiveness consultant, I have assisted in the completion of school effectiveness audits, completed legal research and analysis and provided expert testimony in over 65 school districts and schools in 20 states. School effectiveness evaluations or expert testimony have been accepted in each of these states.
My experience from 1972 through January, 2000 was spent in various positions with Worthington Schools, a school district of 10,600 students and 1,450 staff members located in suburban central Ohio. Worthington Schools is a premier district in Ohio and the nation, annually receiving numerous state and national awards for student, staff and district accomplishments.
Director of Educational Support Services: Worthington Schools
August, 1992 – January, 2000
Responsibilities for this position included leadership and supervision for educational support services and serving as the district’s Business Manager. Responsibility included supervision and coordination of a variety of instructional support areas including human resources, staff development and training, labor relations, employee fringe benefits, facility management, information services, purchasing, budgeting, transportation, food service, labor relations, construction and community funding requests.
Responsibility also included the development and completion of the annual budget appropriations, large portions of the district’s strategic plan and coordination of various educational support programs.
Director of Business Services: Worthington Schools

Supervised, directed, coordinated and provided leadership for the district’s non-instructional programs, including facility management, purchasing, budgeting, transportation, food service, employee fringe benefits, human resources, staff development and training, labor relations, worker’s compensation, and construction.

Provided leadership to accomplish recruitment, selection and employment of certified and non-certified staff for the district. Served in a supervisory role for non-certified employees in the district.
