Biographical Sketch for Jerry Rampelt

Jerry Rampelt is an independent human resources consultant specializing in conflict resolution, human resource development, and human performance improvement.

Prior to opening his own consulting practice he worked for the Ohio Education Association for over twenty years. He had more than thirteen years of experience as a manager for the OEA in a wide variety of positions, including Director of Research, Director of Training, and Director of UniServ.

As Director of Training he was responsible for employee training, with particular emphasis on new employee training and orientation. Also, he designed and coordinated major conferences, including a four-day conference for over eight hundred participants. Because of his expertise, Jerry was selected by the staff unions and management of OEA to facilitate a conflict resolution process for them resulting in improved problem resolution.

Jerry gained international experience with an internship in Romania and trained groups of employees at a bearing factory in team building skills. This training required the use of an interpreter while crossing a cultural divide. In addition, he mediated contract negotiations between management and the union at the bearing factory.

Jerry holds three degrees from The Ohio State University: A Bachelor and Master of Science degree in education, and a Master of Labor and Human Resources from the Max Fisher College of Business.

He is a member of the American Society for Training Society for Quality and Participation, and The Industrial Relations Research Association.

Jerry lives in Westerville and enjoys marathon running and woodworking.
